Gratitude

(Sophie's thank you note!)

Thinking of who I was before Christ saved me,
reminds me of the beauty of salvation.

Desiring a life filled with graciousness because of the grace shown to me!

Colossians 1:6
(The Message)

The Message is as true among you today as when you first heard it. It doesn't diminish or weaken over time. It's the same all over the world. The Message bears fruit and gets larger and stronger, just as it has in you. From the very first day you heard and recognized the truth of what God is doing, you've been hungry for more.

Right Now

I am listening to

the sound of rain,

drawers being pulled out and pushed in,
(hope Chloe and Sawyer are putting clothes away!! There's always hope!)

Sophie snoring

and my favorite radio station.

I see much that needs to be accomplished

and am asking God for help.

Prayers for a great Monday!

Unwrapping God's Word

Nedd

I love this song!

I love Andrea Bocelli's voice!

Don't you?

God's word is powerful and amazing.

According to one of the songs my children listens to in the car,

"God's word
will surprise you!

God's word is exciting.

Read it now and your life will change,

Oh, how your life will change!!"

Hebrews 4:12

For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

SAM I AM

My friend Sam is in the hospital.

He needs your prayers.

He will be celebrating his birthday this Thursday and he

desperately wants to go home so he can party with his family.

Will you please join me in storming the gates of heaven on his behalf?

Let's pray that his blood counts will be where they need to be so he is able

to be discharged in time to CELEBRATE.

As his mother said today,

"GROW CELLS, GROW!!!!"

Thank you my bloggy friends!

Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.
Ephesians 3:20

Thankful...

Today
was
long,
busy,
yet
wonderful!
I have an overwhelming sense of gratitude.

I am sitting in a comfy chair in front of a computer in a house filled with the people I love the most.

I am confident that in the morning I will awake to the smell of coffee and I have no fear that there will be food available to feed my family.

Tomorrow we will have the opportunity to go anywhere we please and do pretty much anything we want.

Yet there are times I yearn for more.
What more do I need?

God has already given me everything.

LIFE in HIM is all I need.

If all the things and people I value and love the most were gone tomorrow,

would I still love God?

God would still be God.

He would still be

GREAT

and

MIGHTY!

Even if...
I had no home,
no family,
no food.

Even if I had
NOTHING.

I would still have eternal hope.
God would still be Good!

But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.

Antique

Seeing my 2 year old sitting in this rocking chair makes me smile.

It was mine when I was her age.

That my friends was __ years ago. I am amazed that I am that old!

SUNSET

"For me sunsets are God’s orchestration that visually affirms His presence and direction in my life: a magnificent symphony that can never be paralleled or equaled to what has occupied my attention during the day."
Steve Kinsey

I never stop being in awe of God's creation and His great love for us.

My life is rich and full of many blessings. But we ALL have experienced trouble and pain.
I don't know why I'm surprised when these storms come.
God said we would have trouble in this life.

"I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world."
John 16:33

I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you
Ephesians 6:18

Hold to God's unchanging hand. Circumstances will ALWAYS change.

GOD

NEVER

WILL!
