Little Girls

Little girls are so sweet.

Sophie is the perfect mix.

Spunky with a whole lotta precious thrown in.

She loves her Baby Jane.

Baby Jane is part of our family and we must know where she is at all times!

Being grateful today
that I am blessed
to share life
with three very special children.

What are you grateful for today?

The JOY of FaLL

Yesterday we enjoyed the day by

raking

jumping

throwing
(frisbees, leaves, baseballs and temper tantrums)

laughing!

BUT,

what you didn't see was the

crying

complaining

pouting

screaming!

I FELT like crawling back into bed and hiding.

Instead

I

Chose

to

ignore

my

feelings

and

do the RIGHT thing.

To be in the moment!

I'm so glad!

A happy heart makes the face cheerful,
but heartache crushes the spirit.
Proverbs 15:13

A cheerful look brings joy to the heart
and good news gives health to the bones.
Proverbs 15: 30

There is a way that seems RIGHT to a a man,
but in the end it leads to death.
Proverbs 16:25

Many are the plans in a man's heart, but it is the Lord's purpose that prevails.
Proverbs 19:21

God's way is always the best!

(yes, I screamed and pouted too)

When You Wish Upon a Star...

Other than failed brakes on our van and a lost bolt,
we are home safely.

Our trip was magical.

Memories made

More fun than we ever imagined

Back to life,

back to reality.

Keeping our memories close to my heart today.

Have a great Monday.

See Ya Later

We depart tomorrow for a week long adventure!

Thankful to be able to get away for a while and enjoy being together.

I'll "SEE" you when we return.

Yet I will rejoice in the Lord,
I will be joyful in my God my Savior.

NEED HELP?

Psalm 121

A song of ascents.
1 I lift up my eyes to the hills—
where does my help come from?

2 My help comes from the LORD,
the Maker of heaven and earth.

3 He will not let your foot slip—
he who watches over you will not slumber;

4 indeed, he who watches over Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.

5 The LORD watches over you—
the LORD is your shade at your right hand;

6 the sun will not harm you by day,
nor the moon by night.

7 The LORD will keep you from all harm—
he will watch over your life;

8 the LORD will watch over your coming and going
both now and forevermore.

I got a...

NEW CAMERA!!!

My husband surprised me when I returned from a retreat that I attend each year with my church.

He cleverly said,
"Gotcha some new bowls."

I said, "WOW, thanks!"

I really need some new rubbermaid bowls I thought.

As I began to open the box, I noticed the kids all lined up with sweet smiles on their faces genuinely excited about seeing mom's reaction to the "bowls".

When I ripped the last piece of tape off, I could not believe it.

I felt like a kid on Christmas morning.

"Just what I always wanted!!"

A NEW CAMERA!!
After lots of hugs and kisses, I quickly tried it out.

And it was so much fun!

What makes it so sweet
is the sacrifice
behind the gift.

Many, many long hours were spent in hauling heavy loads of metal to the scrapyard to sell.

My husband and son worked incredibly hard to do this for me and I am deeply touched by their gift.

Appreciating hard work and generosity today!!

Count your many blessings.

Name them one by one!

A God Wink

I heard the children say excitedly,

"Mom come quick. You've got to see this!!"

Having no idea what I would encounter outside,

(I've been summoned to see lots of interesting things,
chicken poop, dead animals, angry ants, upside down children,
hanging from the highest branch in a tree)

I was happy to see the tiniest fragment of a rainbow winking at me from the sky.

Thank you God for the extraordinary sight on what was just an ordinary day.

Looking for the extraordinary things God has given us today!

Keep your eyes open and I'll bet you'll see them too!
