Goodbye Winter...

It's been fun.
You have brought us beauty, thrills and spills on the sled and an endless supply of giggles.
Reason to bundle up and drink lots of hot chocolate.

But...

Spring, where are you?

While Winter's visit has been lovely, we are yearning for Spring.

Every winter,
When the great sun has turned his face away,
The earth goes down into a vale of grief,
And fasts, and weeps, and shrouds herself in sables,
Leaving her wedding-garlands to decay -
Then leaps in spring to his returning kisses.
~Charles Kingsley

  5. What beautiful photos! I've just about decided to make my peace with winter. I'm ashamed to think how much I usually complain about the hot weather in the summertime. . . I just hate the heat and humidity. So I should be happy in the winter, right? Wouldn't you think?

Thanks for sharing these beautiful images and that lovely little poem. Have a great day!
