There is a tiny creek behind my mother's house.
Yesterday we decided to take a hike and check it out.
The journey was a little long but worth it once we made it through the briars.
Our turtle friend was resting on the bank and stayed there so we could meet him.

ReplyDeleteSeriously... I have never seen a turtle so up close and personal. They are just ugly suckers, aren't they? I felt the same way when I saw a beaver up close.

I think the education PLUS the just good old memory making time on things like a creek walk are valuable beyond measure.
oh I like the turtle much better than the snake! but turtles are my favorite!
