Remembering

We have been home from our vacation for 2 weeks.

I am so thankful to have been able to get away from the monotony of everyday life for a time.

My husband is self-employed and with that choice comes certain freedoms that we enjoy.

But also a certain amount of stress and pressure too!

Vacation is greatly anticipated for many reasons.

No worries for a week except for the occasional temper tantrum or silly argument.

Sleeping late, naps, doing whatever we want, whenever we want.

Purpose

“We must continually remind ourselves of the purpose of life.  We are not destined to happiness, nor to health, but to holiness….God has only one intended destiny for mankind—holiness.  His only goal is to produce saints.  God is not some eternal blessing-machine for people to use, and He did not come to save us out of pity–He came to save us because He created us to be holy.”  -Oswald Chambers

Let the Pictures Tell the Story

I had a few hundred more pictures I could post,
but for the sake of time,
I'll spare you guys.

If you wish to enlarge the picture, just click on it.

How Great Thou Art

When through the woods and forest glades I wander
And hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees;
When I look down from lofty mountain grandeur
And hear the brook and feel the gentle breeze;
Then sings my soul, my Saviour God to Thee; How great Thou art!
How great Thou art! Then sings my soul, my Saviour God to Thee;
How great Thou art! How great Thou art!

Home SWEET Home and BUSY

After a glorious, long and relaxing week putting our toes in the Gulf of Mexico, we are home.

Sunshine,  glittery white sand and clear blue water made us giddy with excitement. Long bike rides around the resort were just what I needed to pray and clear my mind of all the mess that had accumulated over the past few months.

Nothing like a vacation to refresh, renew and relax a mind and body.

We are thankful to have had the opportunity to get away.

Today we'll begin school, clean, clean, clean and prepare for a huge yard sale we're having this weekend.

Have a lovely Monday. As soon as I get around to it, I'll post pictures from our trip.

Family Fun

We were blessed to come together as a family this past weekend
to celebrate the marriage of my nephew.

These are a few of the candid moments captured during the reception.

Hope your Tuesday is filled with stuff to do and people to love.
