New Life

This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!

SPRING BREAK

**********
Carlie is still here much to our delight.
Singing a song and enjoying his reflection!!
**********

This week is spring break and we are going to take advantage of the beautiful weather and spend lots of time in God's creation.

Hope you have a lovely week!

Trust in the LORD and do good;
dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.

Delight yourself in the LORD
and he will give you the desires of your heart.

Commit your way to the LORD;
trust in him and he will do this:

He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn,
the justice of your cause like the noonday sun.

Psalm 37:3-6

3 New Additions and Prayer Request

We have a few more mouths (beaks) to feed around here!

Introducing...
Rudy, Peck and Chick-fil-a!

Have a great weekend and see you on Monday.

*************************

Please pray for my friend Tracy and her father.

Her Dad was involved in a terrible car crash in which 2 teenagers died.
Please remember her Dad, who is in extreme pain, and the family that lost two children in your prayers. They now begin the road to healing both physically and emotionally.

The Call of the Cardinal

A day and then a week passed by:
The redbird hanging from the sill
Sang not; and all were wondering why
It was so still—
When one bright morning, loud and clear,
Its whistle smote my drowsy ear,
Ten times repeated, till the sound
Filled every echoing niche around;
And all things earliest loved by me,—
The bird, the brook, the flower, the tree,—
Came back again, as thus I heard
The cardinal bird.

The lovely sound of our friend "Carlie" the cardinal has been fun to listen to each morning.
Today Carlie seemed to be enamored with his reflection in the window.
He has been looking at himself since daybreak and is still there attempting to get a glimpse of the pretty bird staring back at him!

Peace

It warms a mama's heart to hear sounds of happiness in her home!
As I passed by the dining room yesterday, this is the scene that met me and it made me smile.

It's nice being on the outside looking in sometimes.

I'm unwrapping the rare moments of peace today with

Monday

No matter how one may think himself accomplished, when he sets out to learn a new language, science, or the bicycle, he has entered a new realm as truly as if he were a child newly born into the world.
~
Frances Willard

As we begin this week of learning,
we are anxious to get into the study of anatomy.
The children are excited to learn how God has intricately designed our bodies.

For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother's womb.

I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.

Psalm 139:13-14

WEEKEND

Once you become aware that the main business that you are here for is to know God, most of life's problems fall into place of their own accord.
J.I. Packer

As you prepare to celebrate the weekend,
take time
to fill your hearts and minds with the promises of God.

We have a few fun things planned to try to recover from the busyness of this week.
How about you?

Have a fabulous weekend!!

Already

This morning has already been stressful.

A huge mug of hot chocolate

SPILLED

All over books, games, the floor

Entire bowl of popcorn

SPILLED

Vacuum out

Carpet Cleaner used

Angry words spoken

John 16:33

I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.

I am hopeful for the remainder of the day!

How about you?

This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.

I will choose to rejoice today

even

even

if

it's

cloudy

even

if

I don't feel l like it!!!

I will choose to be glad in the GIFT of today!

Come to Jesus

"I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."

John 16:33

This life is filled with unspeakable joy!!

Marriage, children, and friends can bring us great delight.

Unfortunately marriage, children and friends can cause great heartache too!!

Am I striving to be the peaceful part of the equation instead of a destroyer of peace?

Do my words build up others?

Or do they tear down?

Know God!

Know your purpose!

Know yourself!

(Taken from Death is not Dying-so worth the time to watch this powerful video!!)

Seeking an eternal perspective today and always!!

Being Content

It is not how much we have, but how much we enjoy, that makes happiness.
Quotation of Charles Spurgeon

Contentment frees you to enjoy every good thing God has given you. Contentment demonstrates your belief that God loves you and has your best interest in mind."
--Henry Blackaby, Experiencing God Day by Day, 117 --

One of the greatet crises of our day is that we are contented with easy satisfaction in our spiritual lives."

-- Oswald Chambers (My Utmost, Apr. 28)

"Christian contentment is that sweet, inward, quiet gracious frame of spirit, which freely submits to and delights in God's wise and fatherly disposal in every condition."
-- Jeremiah Burroughs, The Rare Jewel of Christian Contentment, 19. --

Seeking Godly contentment today and the freedom that is it's companion!!

IMAGINE

“Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand.”

Albert Einstein

I never cease to be amazed at the creativity of children.
Their imagination is full of wonder and far away places.

Chloe and Sawyer set up this circus and invited everyone (us) to see the show.

Highlights from the performance include the trapeze artist and the whale in the background!

Have you used your imagination lately?
